Day 113: Munro 46: 7 Nov 2020

Nicks Munro Challenge: 282 Munros in 1200 days at age 80

43: Ben Nevis

Walkhighlands has good information here about these hills:

Ben Nevis: The highest mountain in Britain, Ben Nevis certainly attracts the crowds, with hordes of trippers toiling up the long and punishing stony ascent to the summit in the summer months. The North Face, on the other hand, presents a very different prospect, its towering precipices and narrow gullies making up one of the most celebrated rock and ice climbing arenas in the country.

Total Climb today: 1345m
Total Climbed so far: 46156m

The walk up Ben Nevis today was a real highlight of my challenge thus far. Firstly because I met my initial fundraising target of £10 000. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated. And secondly it was a pleasure to join Fergus Crawley, Jonathan Pain and their team who are undertaking the Vertical Challenge. 32 ascents of Ben Nevis ( a vertical mile) in order to raise funds for Movember (Testicular cancer and mental health charities). You can find out more information here: Project Vertical

Total raised so far: £10285.00 (not including Gift Aid)
